Good because he's utter crap. Should have left him in SK. Better yet, should have accepted the £7m bid from Stoke.
To be honest I'm finding it difficult to single out players. They were all bad today. That has to be down to management failing to motivate/ get the best out of them.
I hate calling for a manages head but I think it's time to part company with Guidolin. Problem is that it's probably too costly for us to sack him.
Well he didn't throw one of your strops, but it was evident what he thought of Franco's decision to take him off!!............
Cork has had another crap game and the midfield as a whole was crap. I feel sorry for Llorente isolated and no service again. I agree with Taff's Rorke's Drift comment. We are going to lose against Man City so we might as well go for it from the beginning because if we try to hold them out we have no chance. I have not been critical of Franco until now but I am beginning to think he is not up to the PL. We need a strong manager who can make his feelings known to the board (i.e. Jenkins) and the players but who that can be I don't know.
That's the price you pay for getting another boardroom decision wrong, I cannot see us getting rid of Franco unless we are in the drop zone, oh wait that might well be soon enough with this crap footy!!..........
If we lose next Saturday - or is that When - we could end up in the bottom 3 by the end of next weekend's fixtures....
We will get ripped a new one next Saturday, thank goodness I'll be back out in Crete enjoying another relaxing break in the sun!.............
A couple of points from the BBC review of the game: Swansea have not scored a first-half goal this season, firing five blanks so far. Swansea are now winless in the league since their opening day victory over Burnley. Such was their lack of threat, Southampton comfortably kept their first clean sheet in 17 games, their last one having also come against Swansea in February. Francesco Guidolin's side lacked quality Can anyone argue with that? I can't. That should tell you that Guidolin is getting it very, very wrong at the moment.
Arguably Guido deserved to be appointed on a permanent basis given our points return under him last season (I know that there is a strong case for allocating a proportion of those points to Curt). With the opportunity of bringing in his own players and a full pre-season to prepare, it was reasonable to expect us to kick on and challenge for a Top 8 - 10 spot. However, if anything, we have regressed. The formation last week was an abject failure & Guido seems prepared to release the shackles only when we are chasing the game. Whilst it could well be costly to cut him (& his staff) loose - it may be even more costly to keep him.
The Yankee doodle dandies are in charge now, interesting to see how they react to their investment going south!..........
