We were miles behind them though. Their squad was far better. And notably they always had a proper goal threat in their squad which we never did. They really shouldn’t have been relegated. We were awful and should have been
It was a truly mindbogglingly poor second half. We knew how Rotherham had set up by the 30th minute and yet we actually had fewer and fewer ideas as the game went on. The passing is too slow. We reverted to being totally reliant on Sulemana to force an opening. Then he went off and... well... there was nothing left.
It was an easy win. I went on their message board at half time. They were discussing if they would have any shots. They said this was as one-sided as any 7-0. Having seen themselves all season they were laughing about the chance of a comeback. We are the punchline.
Gotta say that was a very poor half.we just slowly ran out of ideas. Could have been out of sight in the 1st half
Smash and grab job. Those games happen. We all know we should have been two or three up. Their keeper had a worldy. Move on.
That is at the core of that half. The first half we played with a lot of pace and basically ignored Martin Ball. The second half we decided to kill the game and let them come back at us. The slow passing does not work.
