Second half, yes. First half? Invisible. I quite like the JWP wing back role. Finally found him a position?
You thought we were dreadful first half? I'm very surprised to hear that. United were hurting us up to the goal as they were pressing and harrying our players from the front very effectively. We we okay at worst in my eyes. Dreadful is about three levels below our first half performance. I find that a very very harsh description.
On United forum - "it's their cup final". Stopped reading at that point before I found a United fan to string up over an anthill before skinning him.
It's also harsh considering the quality of the opposition and does them a disservice tbh. We're Southampton ffs.
Yeah, even Maureen conceded that it was a "difficult day" for them.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41374037
Watching the replays, Hoedt has a hold of Lukaku trying to keep him stationary, lukaku does as all strikers should and gets Hoedt off. Not a foul for me - yes it was a push but Hoedt is a big guy and needs to be stronger (you see it all the time and is all Sunday League defenders do). Hoedt then marks him tightly again and slips (with a combo of Lukaku just being too strong) at the crucial moment.
The utd fans have some of the biggest nob heads around posing on the internet. And we are talking world football people.
How can they say that when Phil Namby Pamby Jones went down like a sack of **** every time someone got near him, with the ref duly whistling. I thought we'd have trouble with that ref, when he arrived on the Utd team coach. Note the blue ink. Seriously though he was another ref suckered by a big club into giving them a decision pretty much every time they put a hand up.
Dreadful? What on earth were you watching? We were quite good but didn't carry much threat. 2nd half we changed that.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/romelu-lukaku-stranded-southampton-after-11226590 Rumour was that he couldn't get out of Wesleys' back pocket after the second half.
Was the best performance by Tadic that we have seen for a while, the longer the second half went on, the more his deft touches were working and setting up chances, he didn't get a lot from the Referee but that is probably down to his reputation. Is it me or is it a fact that whenever their is a 50 / 50 decision to make, United get the benefit of the doubt?
Austin is a player that needs three or four full games to get up to and keep up to speed, 10 minute cameos won't hack it.
If you don't agree with my ratings or my specialised scoring system that's entirely up to you. It doesn't bother me in the slightest that you have a different opinion. I watched a game of football and so did you.
