Can't stand the Liverpool,Klopp love affair.....can't put SSNs on when they are playing as the fawning over them is truly embarrassing...........don't want to see them win anything.
And Tottenham win the CL!!! Then everybody is happy knowing that ex-Southampton players and a manager were involved!!!
No, Ides. Just no. Ajax to win the CL, ex Saint Dusan Tadic to score the winning goal in the final. Against Liverpool.
Don't you mean Manchester United, a team that has done frankly next to nothing all season will somehow get to the CL final? I think their pace be too much for the aging Barca, despite the genius of Messi.
Following my emailed complaint yesterday to Sky Sports they have replied today with: At Sky, we choose our co-commentators for their experience, knowledge and their ability to provide immediate insight into what is happening during the game. As a commentator, we ask Jamie to give a fair and balanced opinion on every match we cover, and we believe he does that. It would be impossible for both sets of fans to agree with Jamie on every incident, but it’s this debate and difference of opinion that makes the game so interesting. They ACTUALLY think he gives a fair and balanced opinion! I mentioned considering cancelling my subscription (which is what I will do) and they even provided details of how to do it! One customer less isn’t much but it’s a start...
Not so sure. I think the story would have been how Liverpool performed poorly and threw away the points.
Pretty sure the recent consensus on here is that it's Liverpool we want to see beaten to every trophy. Man Utd aren't in the same league of disliked teams at the moment. And nobody thinks Spurs will win anything anyway, so they don't matter. They've recently buried a time capsule in the new stadium. Personally I think it was actually their trophy cabinet they buried because they won't need it for 50 years
If he really wants to wind us up why doesn't he play Lovren for the whole game against us? Maybe instead of VVD, now that would really get me mad
I wanted to wait a while before posting my thoughts on Friday's game as it was pretty emotional to lose in that fashion. It was a bit bizarre to listen to the post-match reaction on Radio Solent afterwards and to then consider that we had actually lost the match. Merrington was full of enthusiasm and there seemed a consensus amongst the Solent team and fan reaction that we would stay up after putting in such a performance. It is difficult to make a balanced post because the first half performance was effectively the best football a Southampton side had played since the departure of Koeman. We took the game to Liverpool and did it with style and elan. It was as if all the other performances since Ralph's appointment were a prelude to the kind of football we played in the first half. We looked like a team who should be in the top half of the table pushing for a European place. If this is an indication of how we will play next season, it will be a catastrophe if we are relegated and denied watching football that is that sublime. However, the thing that brings me down to earth is the fact that we are not picking up points. Burnley's win yesterday effectively meant that the relegation battle is now between Brighton , Cardiff and Saints. The smart money is saying that Cardiff will struggle to make up the five point difference but Burnley's win at Bournemouth is evidence that nothing can be taken for granted. You would have to say that Brighton are in freefall and more likely to slip further. I do think Cardiff have at least one more surprise inside them. and am not convinced they are a shoo-in for relegation. As was shown on Friday, we still have the ability to do daft things like concede after taking a corner and the substitutions all had a negative impact on the performance as opposed to shoring things up. I am not convinced we are safe and think that the Wolves game is not the foregone conclusion most fans expect. In summary, I suppose I am concerned about complacency. Friday demonstrated the full potential of this team and we just need to focus and get the job done. I would like to think that we are safe before the Huddersfield match so that the only thing we have to worry about in the summer is whether we can come up with a football jersey more heinous than the current, two-tone red one that looks like a Quality Street sweet wrapper.
