Rule 15 (f) : players must have been eligible to play in the original tie in order to play in a replayed or postponed match; however a player who has been suspended according to the disciplinary procedures under the Rules of The Association may play in a postponed or replayed match after the term of his suspension has expired.
This is how you get trapped for life....oh, Saints won, I shall stick my flag to the mast at 6 because they will always win. Yeah, right
I never trust these 'mystery virus' type reports. They can usually suddenly play at the last minute (with a ready made excuse if they have a poor game).
Looking at the Pre match vids and gallery, there is no obvious sign of Spider in any of them, has he picked up a knock?
ITK member on saintsweb K BIlly says that he isn't playing , but hasn't answered whether he has an injury or is simply being rested.
I would have thought Schneiderlin would be rested. If that extended to Wanyama then I might get a tad worried. Ipswich are no mugs.
ah, you'll hate me for this, but I hope you lose qnd go out, that way your squad will be fresher for the league, I think we (WHU) have lost too much ground to sneak into the CL whereas, if you keep your squad reasonably rested, you have a decent chance making it. If Southampton can make it to the CL after being bankrupt and in the third tier 5 years ago, you will have proven it can be done without spending hundreds of millions.what is stopping everyone else?
Thanks for the support...i suppose. I don't want us to get knocked out but honestly wouldn't lose any sleep if we did. We have a rather rare shot of breaking the glass ceiling so that should be our focus. I hope we take the Wenger approach here and give a run out to youth and squad players. Looking around online I've noticed a lot of support for saints to make CL from the supporters of clubs outside the big six which is nice, and strange. I guess most people are sick of it simply being a wallet measuring contest, or just want to see something different at the expense of one of the patricians.
I shall watch with interest as it's live on ESPN from 08:50 Thursday morning NZ time. We hardly get any live games as Sky NZ no longer have the PL rights so they only show the recorded games of the Manchester teams plus Chelsea and Arsenal. These programs are from those clubs own TV stations so are usually quite biased. They didn't show Saints win over Arsenal - bast***s.
Have you tried live streaming over the internet, if I can't get to a game I generally find it on a number of famous sports streaming sites. Quality can be a bit poor (compared with HD!) and a few of the adverts are not for under 18s but better than listening to the radio or staring at the sky sports news scores
I don't see any reason why we couldnt win the FA cup and get into the top 4. We are an ambitious top 4 club
