I think as a fanbase we moan a lot, a lot of it is pretty pathetic. We are doing average, as our league position shows. If we are moaning about performances/league position/entertainment then you would imagine at least 5/6 other teams would be doing the same. I have no idea if they are as I don't really look into other teams. I think our fanbase does over estimate what the club is/where it should be in the football pyramid, but that is not completely our fault, the board have been selling us the "we want Champs League football" line for a few years and a lot of people bought too much into it.

 

Strewth people are now telling us we are not allowed to Whinge??.............All I can say is that they have not had to put up with some of the crap we have seen!!
There is not a team in the world or fans in the world that would not whinge when things are going wrong.............
Is it not natural for fans to want their team to be up amongst the best of their particular league? The standard was set a couple of seasons ago....is it not natural for us to at least expect the same standard??
They will be telling us next we shouldn't watch football as its not good for the heart...................

He forgot to mention the fans who whinge about the whingers.


For me the biggest issue isn't the whingers themselves, it's that MP2 plays the whingers on their wrong sides.

 

Reckon we might be struggling to shift tickets for this one as I've just got a text asking me to buy which never happens.

Depends on the formation, if we go 3 at the back again then Stephens might be one of the CBs. Pied will be the RB regardless though.

We're on pace for 38 points and a -15 GD, heh. I'd say that's worse than "doing average", and our current league position is pretty ephemeral given that there are six teams that are a maximum of three points behind us.

 

Or you could extrapolate until the end of the season with all teams as they are currently doing and find that we will finish 12th, which is pretty average.

They've never done that before though so must be a few left, especially as in their mind I've only been to one game this season rather than the 7 I've actually done.

 

Ditto and some bright spark thought it would be a great idea to put on a Xmas CD that has about 10 songs on it and has been playing on repeat since 9am, went past the "**** that's annoying" stage at about 9:05, full on rage at about 11 to now considering shoving pens in my ears to deafen myself. Going out last night and not getting home til 5am is also playing a factor I think.

 

I'll probably have a drink tonight to be fair and then regret it when I've gotta brave town in the morning before work.

Bet none of you ****ers have to work Christmas day though

 

I Haven't worked in over fifteen years.

 

A rare game where I'm not particularly hoping for a back three. Suspect that Huddersfield will play one up front, and will allow us to have the ball. Throw in no Cedric and Bertrand, and I'm not sure playing three CBs would make a whole lot of sense.

Although I'm quite open to play Stephens at RB, if that is what MP would prefer. Weakens us going forward, but strengthens us defensively.

 

Can't be arsrd playing VvD, Rather a cb who will give his all.

 

Beyond being a historical aberration, no: finishing 12th with fewer than 40 points would still mean that we had a terrible season. It would just mean that other teams were, mercifully, worse.

 

I've had zero problems with Virgil this season. I haven't ever walked away from SMS, thinking that he hasn't tried.

And regardless, Yoshida is giving a goal away almost every game right now. So even if Virgil was playing half arsed, I'd still take that right now.
