Ward-Prowse won't be thrown straight back in.

I don't want this team but our best possible team in my opinion would be:

Forster
Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Bertrand
Reed, Alderweireld
Tadic
Mane, Long
Pellè

3-0 loss.

We haven't got any other choice. Besides he won't be thrown straight back in. He's played for an hour against Burnley and the full 90 last night.

Good old fashioned 4-4-2?

Puts less impetus on the full backs. Tadic out left, Ward Prowse on the right and just keep getting crosses in to Pelle and Long?

Forster
Clyne Fonte Alderweireld Bertrand
Davis Prowse Reed
Long Pelle Tadic

Not much strength in that midfield, I'd be tempted to play Aldereweild there and Yoshida at CB

Not sure when we last started a game without any of Vic Jack or Morgan but surely Reed must get a chance now?

Think this sentence might be what's jinxing us. Someone (maybe always you) says it every single week leading up to a match - which we inevitably lose.

So an away win for me. 1-2, with Barkley and Coleman for them; and Reed getting a consolation for us!

Have you seen our looping, languorous crosses lately/most of the season??! It's about our least dangerous outlet, especially against the quality of Everton's defence/goalkeeper.

Forster
Clyne Fonte Alderweireld Bertrand
Davis Prowse Reed
Long Pelle Tadic

Under normal circumstances that doesn't look a bad starting XI, with the right tactics it might do all right. Will need a little bit of good luck and some fair officiating to help raise morale a bit.

Things I am looking forward to this weekend; getting down to Soton, seeing my mum and dad, watching a recording of the Ladbroke Hurdle
Things I am not looking forward to this weekend; this game
Things I am unlikely to do this weekend; watch MOTD

Yeah, pretty much the same for me....bringing seven family members down for this match (one an Everton supporter) and I've been bigging up the Saints for weeks....feel I'm owed at least an performance of enthusiasm and energy.

Thing is, it will improve...witness Sunderland and Newcastle earlier in the season, both have upped their performances.....I'm still convinced we have the manager to achieve improvement. Personally I've never been arsed about European qualification anyway.

I'm finding that I like the between match period rather than actual match days. I shall adopt the Lawro position: Saints can't score and are on a losing streak, therefore will win 2-1.

Everton arent on a great run either and I was surprised to see that, but granted, its significantly better than ours. I am hoping they score two more own goals like last season and Fraser actually plays well and doesn't conceed any.

I think Lawro will say that we cant keep not scoring and Everton will score some own goals, we will get some penalties that we actually score and we will win 5-0

My Team:
