Huge credit to Baz, 2 top quality saves. Other than that, not good at all and all too familiar. At least Leicester, Leeds and Ipswich aren't all winning thought...
If we had won the Huddersfield game, I think we'd all be a bit more patient with tonight's effort. But seeing as we imploded so spectacularly on Saturday, we really need to see a performance tonight.
I love Charly but he had to do better for the header Baz saved especially as he appeared to look over and see the unmarked player. Passing is lacking pace and movement is generally poor. And as for refs being able to sin bin players for what they might consider a cynical foul could have seen Manning off for 10 minutes just now. The number of yellows we have received this season seems to indicate that the refs have an issue with us. Similar fouls from the opponents don’t even get given as free kicks a lot of the time.
Going to go against the flow and say all the yellows were correct. We are playing like a team that is on the edge of cracking. It is palpable how frustrated they all look - and that is on Martin.
The defending and passing around at the back, frustrating as it is to watch, is improving. But whoop-de-doo, that's not how you win games. Our creativity is terrible.
Not the most exciting game. The fact that I have spent the last 20 mins catching up on work emails says it all.
This is so disappointing. No style and trying short passes in a congested midfield or trying to play it in the air to Armstrong. Makes no sense.
Credit has to be given to brizzle for their pressing. They are cutting off the space to play forward and square forcing us to go back. Also getting tired of watching players in space being ignored whilst the player on the ball turns back into the crowded centre of the pitch.
