I was either lucky or unlucky… but saints managed to smash Leicester and get a draw. Che showing Adam how to put the ball in the net. As the famous @Saintmagic would say… which I’ve been corrected on…. “We’re ****, we’re gonna lose” The rest of us, apart from Lincoln, are a lot more positive. Lincoln won’t be travelling to the game as he’s too busy putting his Ralph out website together. Injuries… probable line ups … to be announced Referee: Anthony Taylor. Assistants: Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn. Fourth official: Stuart Attwell. VAR: Martin Atkinson. Assistant VAR: Matthew Wilkes.
The way Saints and Brighton are playing, this could be a game that sets the record for the most goal scoring chances to go begging. Probably be 3-3 now.
Saturday 4th December 2021 Southampton v Brighton 15:00 KO Referee: Anthony Taylor. Assistants: Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn. Fourth official: Stuart Attwell. VAR: Martin Atkinson. Assistant VAR: Matthew Wilkes.
I'm reliably informed on previous threads that this will be a game of two halves after which the team who scores the most goals wins. There will be differing opinions ranging from "we're going to ****ing smash um" to "we're going to lose, couldn't score at an Ibiza foam party, sack the manager, coaching staff, IT geeks and the tea lady". Let's have a competitive match where we cruise into a big half time lead followed by inspired substitutions that further extend the winning margin. Edit: Foam party please log in to view this image
Do we know how Bedders and Tella are? Would like to see an unchanged team for a change especially if they can reproduce the first half performance from yesterday Doesn’t seem to matter what team we play we don’t seem to be able to play at our best for more than 45 minutes anyway
Another derby that isn’t. But sort of is, a bit. The South Coast is ours, apparently . Like anyone north of Winchester gives a ****, but still, c’mon Saints, let’s show em. I will be wearing the hat a seagull* shat on on Brighton Pier, after which we won 2-0. *bird, not fan…
Brighton picked up a few injuries against west ham... https://www.skysports.com/football/...w-ahead-of-premier-league-trip-to-southampton Funnily enough Lallana amongst them - didn't he get "injured" just before a st marys return last season?
Maybe I was thinking of the game at the AMEX, I was sure he was injured for one of our games last season
Ralph has confirmed Bednarek and Stu Armstrong both out for tomorrow, forster also picked up a knock so not 100%
I was going to post my team but no need now.....Tino does need a break. I've got a funny feeling that Ralph will bring Jack in for Bedders.
Sadly, it appears now that the other teams have worked out that if you smash Tino early (I’m still seething as to why Söyüncu didn’t get booked for his blatant body check) and the refs are turning a blind eye, that stops his effectiveness. I wonder if Ralph will rest him - especially with Jan out. I also hope Tella gets another run out if his groin is ok. Hoping I’ll be home in time for this, but somehow doubt it
I heard Lawrenson mentioned in the commentary. Possibly one of the reasons, other than being a miserable ****, why he is always negative about us.
I haven’t watched a single game with Brighton in in for yonks so no idea what they are like or how they play. They are looking to go into the Guinness book of world records for the most draws in a season by the looks of their results. So, I’d bench Che till 30 seconds to go, bring him on for a goal and then stick 11 players in the goal mouth till the final whistle. Narrow 1-0 win, no record for you Brighton!
Such fluidity in some of those moves, everyone seemed to know what they were doing and what others wanted them to do. Brilliant, thanks to everyone for making this available.
