Rewatching the Southampton goal Podolski should have cleared it; Kos was in a compromising position due to the bad Pod pass but should have cleared it aswell; Sagna <doh>

OXO has at least been doing something, Podolski has done nothing but give the ball away that led to their goal, if you're going to take anyone off, take off Podolski.

Really sloppy goal to give away, not good enough. We got a bit of fortune with the equaliser, but I think we'll come out in the 2nd half a lot stronger. Still fancy us to win this game and if we can score early in the 2nd half then we could end up making this game look quite easy, but we MUST play better in defence.

Exactly, if anyone has to be replaced from attacking point of view, it's Podolski. He has done **** all.

Theo hasn't done much today (he needs to help out the midfield too not just ball watch)

He left Sagna in 1 v 2 situations way too often for me. Podolski will be subbed as well probably.

I really don't care who goes out, but Giroud needs to come in for Wilshere and Cazorla to have someone to link up with. Walcott may as well not be there if it's not a counter.

Wenger won't make changes until 70 mins when we're 2-1 down.

I'd even settle for Gervinho coming on for Podolski, at least he'd do some defending

When we played against Newcastle 1st half was a bit shaky and it also went into half time 1-1.

Is there any chance that that might happen again tonight?

Pod has definitely been the worse. Walcott can only do so much, the delivery he has been receiving has been below par. If things don't change, Giroud on for Pod, switch Walcott to the right... might need to throw on Rosicky... we're absolutely poor in the middle.

I think he knows we need Giroud, considering most of our attacks end up with hopeless crosses into the area and only Walcott is there. He sometimes does 60 minute replacements.

Another reminder that Per is a better partner for TV and Kos than they are for each other. Most of Southamptons chances have come from their oor positioning and both wanting to attack the ball whereas Per sits back and covers. If they hadnt both gone for the same ball before I think it was Gibbs came inside to cover they wouldnt have got in each others way when Sagna put it back across.

If we can carry on the way we ended the half, we should be fine. Sagna needs to up his game, Ox needs to go off, maybe bring Ramsey on to slow the game down and help us a bit.

Both really good CB's, but so frustrating that together they seem to make a lot of mistakes

I'd give walcott a bit longer in the central role, his offside goal showed that if we can put him through he'll bury the chance. I'd get Rosicky on for either podolski or oxocube and put Cazorla wide with rosicky playing through the middle. That gives us cazorla/rosicky/wilshere trying to find the ball for walcott.

If it's not working by 65/70 mins then bring on Giroud and push walcott wide.

I don't think you can fault the CB's for the goal, it was a combination of errors from Podolski and Sagna. Podolski put everybody under pressure as our players were moving up, and he gave it away in the worst area.
