No one is scapegoating Walcott, they're scapegoating irrelevant factors. Walcott has as of this moment an uncontested place in the right wing where Oxo isn't producing. Starting him as a CF is a waste against most sides, and the only reason I'm assuming Wenger is entertaining the idea is to make him sign.
Podolski is also pissing me off now. When he is not having a great game, he just does nothing, there is no in between with him.
So this Adrian Lopez, is he out of contact soon?. The money we're linked with offering isnt exactly superstar money..
Despite us not having a big **** you type DM one thing that PISSES ME OFF is that the midfiled DON'T PRESS THE BALL. AND WHEN THEY DO THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO TACKLE (Barring Coq and Arteta). This needs to be improved
They had nothing to service to. Walcott never made himself available. Bad crossing to Giroud would have been a relevant factor. Bad crossing and good crossing to Walcott, however, are equivalent; neither produces anything unless the defending is pants. We resorted to going through the side because he wasn't coming with his back to goal to link up with the midfield. That is a very important role of a CF, ESPECIALLY important if he is the sole CF. Which is why I have maintained Walcott as a CF on a 4-2-3-1 formation is a waste.
Yeah. We could get him. But priority should be a DM who can win the ball back (Arteta should be In-between AM and DM)
Cazorla was not on it. Even when our players made runs, he over hit his passes and was not making simple passes. He has looked poor since that Reading game. Wenger took him for a reason, sadly he replaced him with Ramsey.
Better question, why insist playing him a CF when he is more useful as a winger? Giroud would provide the aerial ability, the link up play (which he is excellent at) with his back against goal holding off physical defenders. Is the goal for Arsenal to increase their chances to win, or to please a player in his "favorite position"?
Same story with Wilshere he lifted his head plenty of times with space through the middle and just had to resort to pass it to Oxo and Sagna on the side, with no alternative.
Giroud is not 'excellent' with his link play. RVP is excellent at that, not Giroud. He is very much hit and miss. Sometimes he lays it off, other times it bounces off. Still remember the United game, where he was abysmal. The reason Wenger is playing Walcott as a CF, is because Giroud has not convinced him.
Ramsey had one good chance on the break where he stopped and then passed straight to the opposition Rosicky must be playing awful in training..
Jack is not our chief creator though. He plays alongside Arteta and is more often than not too deep to really affect things. Cazorla is meant to be the man that our attacks go through and when he is not on it, it breaks down.
He has been excellent way more often than average in his link up play. Lol the difference of standards by which you rate the ability of Walcott and others is quite impressive.
