In the grand context, it is a sad state of affairs at our club, for the past 2 years we have been well off the pace from the top teams, 18 points behind United right now. We are regressing further and further from the top teams as each season goes, cementing the fact that we are no longer an elite team. Today's woeful performance wasn't unique, how many times have we seen this before? It's just an indication of how poor we are becoming. Obviously the likes of Gazidis will say the good times are around the corner, what else would you expect him to say? But how long have we been hearing that same story and yet things keep getting worst? And I'm not over-reacting, even when we were on our winning streak (on the Newcastle match thread) I still hit out at the fact that all our winning streak amounted to was fighting for the 4th place trophy. Heck, as things stand, that 4th place trophy probably won't even be achieved this year, and then everybody will be saying how ending up 5th is like a trophy too.
A lot of effort but ZERO quality. Cazorla was misplacing passes and was over hitting them, while Jack was not getting the positions to find the passes needed. Wenger took Cazorla off for a reason, he was ****. And when your chief creator is having a day to forgot, then the forward is hardly at an advantage.
No one is blaming Ramsey. He was ok, probably better than the other midfielders. Gervihno had that 1 shot but that was it. He COULD have done much better
Theo didn't help the midfield, did he? How many times did you see JW and Cazorla with space ahead looking at Walcott sitting behind their defenders doing the "really!?" hand gesture and passing wide to Sagna who then hoofed the ball? You can't make things happen if you don't come forward to give options to the people with the ball.
Yes he did, he was classic Gervinho and it's just adds fire to the fuel. The fact we have to bring him on just pisses me off. What a sad state of affairs.
We'll have to wait and see, top 4 can be out of sight if we f--k up in the next upcoming games, City, Chelsea, West Ham, and Liverpool.
And Walcott was classic Walcott against non-**** defending. He played 90 mins too, which would make his lack of performance more of an issue.

Still got an assist. So again did something, at the very least, he contributed.. Gervinho is just a joke and offers nothing apart from the comedy factor, which I am sure opposition fans love. It depresses and annoys me that a club like Arsenal have been reduced to bringing on a player of this low quality. Did not miss him one bit in the last four games and can't wait until he ****s off to the AOCN.
We don't need to play him as a CF for him to take free kicks. Giroud has to start through the middle every game he's available, no exception IMO. If it's a counter-attack game Walcott will still be of use from the right side, mobility isn't exactly his issue.
I don't buy this Walcott scapegoating. As Wenger just said, the whole team didn't produce enough chances and the service to Walcott was poor. And as mentioned, he produced the free kick that led to the goal, so his contribution was better than most on the pitch today.
