Arsenal GK fined £20,000 for smoking in the shower, a bit stupid surely difficult to light up soaking wet ***s?

 

Rather than the water bottle, he should have just sparked up when we scored.

 

Ray Parlour just recounting the story of how they were fined 10K if their phone went off. One day at a team meeting Wenger went mad because a phone rang and rang before discovering it was his own phone. To give him his due, he fined himself 10K on the spot.

 

Should have had an electronic ciggy, perhaps one disguised as a fountain pen or similar?

 

Where would you put a 'fountain pen' when in the shower?

 

Naughty thoughts, behind his ear?

 

And that wouldn't look at all suspicious....carrying a fountain pen into the shower

 

What do you suggest, a toothbrush?

 

Actually it showing your age a bit, there are lots of people that have never heard of a fountain pen! Perhaps a Rollerball, never know when someone might want an autograph!

 

If they pounce on you in the shower, they want more than an autograph.

The elephant in the room is why choose the shower in the first place? And was this shower at St Mary's....in which case we want the 20K.

 

It was St. Marys and he gave us two goals I think that was generous enough.

 

I assume to dodge smoke detectors and maybe try to avoid people seeing him. Lots of folk around outside the stadium and no chance on the team bus.

 

Sky have just stated Southampton's rules...anyone smoking will be fined and/or subject to criminal prosecution. My best guess is that our response will be a quick spray of Febreze....we are too fond of him to take it further
