I think it will be a very edgy 3-2 win for Saints Davis Butterfield Fonte Hooiveld Fox Schneiderlin Hammond Cork Guly Lambert Connolly SUBS: Bart, Martin, Harding, Chaplow, De Ridder
Good article on the Guardian website about the match: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/football-league-blog/2011/oct/18/southampton-west-ham-clash
Yes, very much so. I've hardly been able to eat anything all day. Getting the train from Farnborough at 5pm and then grab a beer in town to calm the nerves.
Very good Guardian piece, because it actually bears some relation to reality. So often, anything written about Saints bear all the marks of being constructed from cut-outs of previous articles that are wildly out of date. Like the bit about 'enviable ownership'...recent articles have sounded as if we're owned by some dodgy foreigner up to no good. Not sure what they mean by two teams with different aspirations..surely we both want promotion. However, although both teams will be thrilled to win, this game is not a defining match..the loser will not drop into mid-table obscurity. 2.0 to the Saints.
Agree with the first two parts - very much agree with them! (Not looked to a game this much in a very long time). Unfortunately, I can't find it in myself to agree with your third and part however - really don't think we'll win. Fingers crossed I'm proved wrong though.
