Long is occasionally invisible to our midfield, but that's hardly down to him. Play balls into space, that he has any chance at all of reaching, & he'll chase them down all day.

I'm still not writing off Jay yet either. Gabbiadini has made a flying start, Austin will be back, we have options up front now. We need, imo, someone bossing the midfield in front of, or even alongside, Romeu. JWP, Davis, or Hojbjorg hopefully, but none of them have started doing it yet.

 

I want us to buy Nahki Wells to either replace Jay or Long. Then keep one of them. I am starting to hope we start shopping in the Championship more.

 

Why am I never surprised at the vitriolic c*** posted on here when someone asks a straightforward question and the responder throws around innuendo's and then still fails to answer the fundamental question. I would add that at no point have I stated we would not win again - neither on here have I suggested anybody is useless either. Which games have I ever said Watford could never win? When have I mentioned Liverpool?

So my next question to you is tell me where are my posts are that support the statements you have made above? I am frankly bemused by your response.

Finally - I have no interest in having a p***ing up the wall contest to see who knows more about football - not that I understood why you had to make that reference either for that matter.

I agree with your general point but I don't think this year is comparable to the last 2 seasons as we don't have a defence this time round.

My concern is that there's always one team who plummets and that looks like us or Bournemouth. The home double header against them and Palace in April is massive.

Other teams are all starting to find form too. Though 38 will be enough I reckon and we should have enough about us to get at least another 11 points.
