It really amateurish to take the lead and then go behind within the same half. Where's our defensive resolve showed at Anfield? Besides that, we don't really know what's our plan in the attack.
Don't get our approach really, playing exactly how West Ham would like us to - sitting deep with no pressure on their CBs. I understand the logic against some teams but that's just playing into a West Ham side with Carroll in it's hands. Playing on hope rather than reasoned expectation.
Personally don't think we've created that much to be honest. Obviously Gabbi looks good but we've hardly put the west ham goal under lots of pressure.
Yep. We're gotta do what we don't generally do. Score a bucketful. West Ham looking alright going forward.
It's a lot more calming if you look at it realistically, despite all the talking we've all done, all the club have done, basically we are not a very good team and we are going to struggle. If we can stay out of the relegation dog fight then it will be a good season. To be honest though there is more than a whiff of Aston Villa about us...
We haven't created loads but we have scored, their keeper has actually had to make a couple of saves and Gabbiadini looks a genuine threat. That's a bit of an improvement on most of the season.
Well not exactly. We f*cked up in the summer window and left us short going forward. Then we have fixed that (maybe) in January whilst leaving us short at the back. If we tried to be proactive rather reactive we would have had a great crack at the top 6/7. Really not far off pushing top 6 considering how everton are doing, 1 or 2 players and we would be there. Do the board have that ambition? We shall see.
Listening to radio london. A loan magie has just flown into the ground and seriously, that is the most worried the commentators have been so far. We need to change this, playing in our own half is too dangerous now.
Errr...okay, we are a very, very good team but we are just so unlucky. It wouldn't surprise me if we win this game 5-2 or by even more and then go on a six or seven game winning run and haul ourselves into the top seven. The signs are there.
Agreed. Even with Fonte and van Dijk at the back I always felt we passed it around a little too much in defence and Stephens and Yoshida aren't anywhere near as good with the ball at their feet.
