Match Day Thread Southampton v Watford

Well, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

 

We've offered pretty much f all this second half.

MASSIVLY GRIM.

Properly peged to the bottom of the table now.

GAY.

 

Southampton were utter ****e in the first half too, we've made them look like Campions league quality the second half.

It hurts me to say it but we are as good as down now.

Not coming back now. Players can't / don't want it.

 

They have had too much pace for us .

 

On another note, the Premier league will be better without us. It's been a long downward spiral since the second half of last season really.

 

Looked a like a little handball for the first but would have been hard on them.

Gray should have hit target then !

Why start attacking now !

Let's just give up for the rest of the season.... Awful

 

So all we now is for Norwich to win and good luck to them.

Not normally as reactionary as this, but I think it’s time for Flores to go. No idea who to bring in or if it’s too late anyway, but we need to do more than that to defend a lead.

 

Yes, looking back, that Brighton game was quite telling.

VAR didn't go for us but doesn't hide the poor 2nd half .

WE got what we deserved for a negative performance and subs .

Gave Southampton all the pressure and momentum.

 

It is about time that the Pozzo's employed a highly rated manager with some real knowledge of the Prem. SH - but would such a high profile manager work under the Pozzo's system ? It is not just that the personnel on the pitch are not up to a real relegation scrap, but there is absolutely no 'team' feeling there at the moment - not only do they not fight for each other, I do not think they actually like each other that much.

 

I fear its almost too late.

I mean we have a really tough run of games now and might be doomed by January.

Shame as again we did for some of the game but didn't take our chances, then defended poorly and VAR went against us.

All perfect ingredients for a relegation side.

 

Yes... Sad but true... And SUCH a turnaround from the heady heights that took us to the cup final..

 

Well our league form has been pretty ropey since before then..

Maybe its just us that are the "established" Premier league team that goes down - always one.
