This is already my favourite match thread of the season, the quality of the gallows humour is getting better and better! We’re approaching the standard of the old 606 forum in the dark days of Spring 2009!
Well done Tom for taking the wheel and trying to steer us away from disaster. As we are now officially referred to in all news reports as “Struggling Southampton”, I think you might have your work cut out.
Southampton v Watford Referee: Simon Hooper Assistants: Richard West, Harry Lennard Fourth official: Andre Marriner
I was too slow! Simon Hooper, from Swindon, is associated to the Wiltshire FA and was appointed to the National List in 2008. He was promoted to Select Group 2 in 2016 and took charge of the League One play-off final between Bradford City and Millwall at the end of the 2016/17 season. Hooper went on to referee 42 matches across all competitions in 2017/18. He has officiated three Premier League fixtures, the encounter between Norwich City and Crystal Palace, in August 2015, Newcastle United’s home match against Burnley in January 2018 and Newcastle v Leicester City in September of the same year. He also took charge of the League One playoff semi-final between Charlton Athletic and Shrewsbury Town in May 2018. Hooper was promoted to Select Group 1 alongside David Coote for the 2018/19 campaign, aged 36.
Southampton v What Ford? Referee: Simon Bumper Assistants: Richard Whoops, Harry Hithard Fourth official: Andre Carinway
lose the next 2 and Hughes will probably be sacked its a shame but Le Tiss made a good point that the team spirit that we saw at the end of last season seems to have gone which always come back to the manager

We've collectively got into the Tardis and returned there, unfortunately we don't have a Channel Island genius and locals like Franny and Doddsy to die for the cause this time...
Mike Osman?, I think that Mark Dennis' brother is a DJ too. Osman and Matty co-owned "Celebrations" a short lived nightclub near the docks.
There are no leaders in that team apart from maybe Pierre, as someone else said maybe it's time to give him the armband.
Definitely. Bertrand has no leadership qualities whatsoever. Yoshida would be good, JWP might work, but of all the players currently starting, it has to be Højbjerg.
