Saints may give a start to Harrison Reed out of necessity tonight but that may not be a bad thing considering he could be the next Paul Scholes. I'm not saying he will be but he's ginger which is a good start.
LVG laughs in the face of pressure. He pokes a finger at the eye of adversity. He blows kisses at the cheeks of tension. He is a behemoth in the world of football managers. A colossus in the cosmos of sport. A fcking monster c0ck in the underpants of greatness. But yeh, it should be an interesting game.
McNair, Smalling, Rojo, Valencia, Fellaini, Carrick, Mata, Young, RVP, Rooney Herrera doesn't start ffs Falcao on the bench
Nope, i think he will go with Valencia, McNair, Smalling and Rojo with Young being pushed forward into midfield.
I wouldn't have dropped Herrera for McNair. Don't really see the advantage in midfield by doing that, in fact I see Young and Valencia being pegged back as a result. Guess we wait and see...
Strange that Herrera doesn't start after playing so well. Hope LVG has got this selection right. He can change it if it doesn't work. Fingers crossed.
Valencia and Young either side of Carrick, they both provide width and also have the energy and ability to help defend. Sick about Herrera but can see the thinking here.
I see it Diego, but as Custard has just posted I can see them being pegged back to a 5-3-2. In fact it will become 5-4-1 with RVP isolated up front as Rooney drops deep. I 'm not moaning btw, just a bit surprised.
I meant of course Felli and Young either side of Carrick with Valencia providing the width on the right
You know it's all about possession football. I can see already all that good work against Hull and Stoke being undone tonight with the workhorses we have on tonight.
