Best 11 available. Week in week out. Get some consistency. We were building momentum and he undone that today.. The worst thing you can do when your defence is shot to bits is start fcking around with formations.
OMG guys!! It almost sounds like we lost the game by reading all these comments. Would you guys rather have us lose the game so you could finally have real reasons to slate the performance even further? How many times in Ferguson's final year did everyone accuse United of being lucky? I think I'd take that all day long. Performance will get better as we get our players back from injury.
Im thrilled mate. Love an undeserved win and will enjoy winding the southern pansies up over it for a few days. Hope we play even worse and beat liverpool next too. After that though a run of good performances would be great. We are quickly forgetting how to lose and more and more people are saying those words about us
United are not yet a top side. LVG said it in his interview. No momentum yet because the performance was ****. Southampton are a good side but they didn't take their chances. Koeman was also honest in saying that good teams capitalise on their opponents mistakes. United did. United have still some way to go to become a good team. We can and should improve another 50% and the GGs need to spend another £100-150m. The rumours are that they will provide the required funds.
Van Gaal "He (Gary Neville) can say everything because he's an ex-legend. But as an ex-legend, you have to know what you're saying." WTF is an ex-legend You have to hand it to LVG, he just cusses ppl in the best way possible lol
I look forward to his interviews. He pulls no punches either to the players or the journos asking him stupid questions or trying to stir things up. LVG is saying to Neville " just be more respectful to the club that made you and gave you a great career" I think Neville will be watching his words carefully next time (not that he said anything that was not truthful!)
Haha I wasn't saying United are. Comment was about Southampton. Top sides would have mullered you tonight. Saints didn't - showing the difference between form and class.
Nice bit of twisting by the mail. The press dont half like to twist tge broken english of a foreigner. Anyway, neville would have no chance against lvg.
That doesn't even begin to scratch the surface seeing as we played a carthorse at centre midfield, two wingers as full backs and an actual centre mid at centre half. Good result by ****.
I watched the game last night and yes you were lucky to get anything from it but it's 3 points and on to the next one and that's 5 wins in a row, the devils team! A man was swept out to sea and was going to drown, all of a sudden a lifeguard swam by and said "grab on I'll save you!" "No thanks" Said the man "God will save me." Next a rubber dingy floated by but the man turned away and said "God will save me." After some time the man is getting very tired and is about to go under when a Cruise ship happened by, the captain called to the man but the man just said "go away God will save me." The man eventually drown and goes up to heaven, once he is stood in front of God he asks "God why didn't you save me?" God replies "I sent a lifeguard a dingy and a ship, what more do you ****ing want!"
The saying goes: "winning when underperforming is the mark of champions". This does not apply to United because underperforming is being extremely generous to United's 'performance' yesterday. At least against Arsenal you could see (vaguely) the plan. Counterattack at speed against a passing side which will dominate possession. yesterday? At half time I said we were lucky to be 1-1 and I'd happily settle for a draw. We have won somehow and I cannot f**ing work out how !! last season, Moyes was so unlucky that I thought it was a joke. Deflections in the last minute would inevitably go into the net. Draws would turn into defeats and wins into draws especially at OT. A weak shot gets pass De Gea in the f**ing last minute and we are out of the Cup semifinal This season I cannot even say these weird "events" are against the low or mid table teams. The team deserved at least a draw against Chelsea and we gave City a game at the Etihad despite being one man down. I have been watching football for more decades than I care to recall but this is some weird United team. At the beginning of the season even before the first match I said we would be lucky to get 4th place, even with the huge amounts spent. Now anything could happen. I am betting somewhere between 2nd and 5th. 1st would be too much (and would be in the domain of miracles!) but Aguero's injury suddenly brings City into view.
I still think third. I only hope, but can't assume, that LVG will have learned two very valuable lessons last night. 1 - this three man defence is ****ing bollocks and should NEVER be repeated 2 - Ander Herrera should play ahead of Fellaini. Always. Under any circumstances, Ander Herrera plays ahead of Fellaini.
Agree with both of those. A lot also depends on what happens in Jan. If we get a top class CB and ideally also a CM like Strootman then 3rd should be pretty much nailed on given current form. If not, then we will still be painfully vulnerable at the back, and could well slip behind l'Arse if they pull their finger out. Which would be embarrassing. Still reckon Saints and the Hammers have a decent chance of squeaking fourth spot if l'Arse don't buck their ideas up.
His back 3 has earned us 6 points away to two very good sides (kind on arsenal) so he will no doubt revert to it again should we have the worst defensive injury record in history. I doubt he wants to play a back 3. Hes very much a 433 kind of guy and seems to like the 442 diamond with united but sometimes his hands are tied. The last game we went all out attack was at Leicester. We lost 5-3 and they havent picked up a win since. hes obviously learned something as weve lost only once since then and have been the in form side in the league. A lot of luck has helped as has the leagues best keeper but sometimes, just sometimes the players deserve a bit of credit as does lvg. Young has been decent covering left back as has valencia. Lvg has raised their game in an unfamiliar position. Rojo (awful last night frankly) has had some good games. Against city he handled aguero better than most seasoned defenders in tye league. Smalling has come back after his red card and looked very good. Weve had kids step up and do well for the most part. Any other club would be ****ed in our situation. We however notch up 5 consecutive wins, rise 7 places up the league and create space between us and 5th. I will take that. Well done all!
I actually could not care less about performances, all I care is that we're winning games and building confidence and momentum. A lot of games earlier in the season we had been the better side, but still failed to get the 3 points. So it's about time we got a few wins against the run of play. It's frustrating when you lose after playing well, but that's the nature of football. It's all about taking chances
5 wins in a row since Carrick came back and now the best passing team in the league. Carrick haters are clueless. The team to have completed the most passes per game – 580 The team to have retained possession the most – 60.5 per cent The team to have completed the most accurate passes – 86.7 per cent
