We're currently weathering the storm , both on and off the field , not pretty but we're lacking any creativity in the middle so understandable

Half time, if this was a boxing match, it would have been stopped.

Fully agree. This would be a very difficult game with Leon, Ki, Gylfi and Montero playing. Doing ok considering those not playing.

At least we look organised defensively and are much more disciplined today.

As Valley says though. Lots of pressure but Fabianski hasn't been troubled that much yet.

Why? They haven't landed any shots of significance.

Swansea are winless in their last 10 visits to Southampton. Their last win (4-1) came 62 years ago in the old Second Division.

We are a shambles against a good side. This may well be the weakest midfield I can think of since we got in the PL. I dont know whether I can sit through another half of that.

If monk thinks that is putting things right then god help us.

Remember when we uses to dominate games like that?

    So far OK .... 0-0
Fulton doing better than I expected fair do's and Carroll putting himself in acres of space but not biding picked out for the simple pass.
Jonjo playing flappy arms and calling for a pass while encircled by three or four Soton players ... why?
Midfield not picking up loose balls again and Taylor being ripped apart.
Naughton doing well for first game.
Dyer getting sucked into playing left back.
Gomis not having much of an opportunity but has sot learn the off-side rule.
Generally shapeless and as soon as we start putting passes together someone gets over excited and tried the miracle ball.

The big difference is off the ball - on the rare occasions we have kick they are defending from our penalty area; and when they have the ball the positions Soton players are taking up, the angles they are running and the willingness to move into space for the easy but incisive pass is excellent.

Very impressed with Southampton, quite pleased by us given the circumstances.

TLF - I agree that we have a pretty weak midfield out on the pitch today. Forgetting Cork, we are missing, Leon, Routledge, Montero, Siggy and Ki

I'm hoping that's its weak not through choice other wise we are in the **** , this was always a difficult game and were we expecting anything different . Monk's employed these tactics when we were playing "better" earlier in the season but we need to start pressing earlier and higher up the pitch because Koeman's got the measure of us now so it's down to us to surprise him .

Totally being dominated as expected but we have been rock solid at the back. Ash was lucky not to be sent off for pushing a saints player to the floor, he needs to watch his aggression as another ref could easily have dismissed him. taylor also needs to calm down. Gomis has been too far forward and been caught off side to many times but at least he is trying. It not pretty to watch if your a swans fan but i never expected anything else from a good saints team...So far so good but i cant see us keeping a clean sheet with the pressure on us and its only a matter of time i think before they score....We need lady luck with us and hope for a breakaway goal.....
