The answer to that is he's playing against sub-standard opposition. Still clumsy and far too reliant on his right foot, but saying that he will be half decent in the Championship. The same can be said of Joe Aribo, his contrast to Big Les is like night and day at this level with the young lad outshining him time and time again - again another useful player for the Championship if we can keep hold of him. All in all this game illustrates where Saints are at the moment good enough for the Championship bloody useless in the Prem, but at least we have stopped playing Russball!
Taking into consideration the lower quality we are up against, Sulemana has put in a decent shift. Perhaps he just needed a manager who believes in him? Just before the end of the half, when Swansea were pushing forward, I couldn’t even see Big Les, then he seemed to trot forward from a position in the back line, which was bizarre.
If my lip reading is any good the Swansea player just said “he’s ****ing rapid man” when talking to his own fullback. Wonder who he is talking about
