    Yep.

I didn't get a stream going until 55 minutes annoyingly but the back 4 looked spot on.

We left space in front of the back 4 and that ultimately ****ed us but as has been said, Kirch & Catts will rectify that.

    We are alright.

Bodji seems to have passed the test, Kone settled well after the transfer Panto. All in all a good point away from home, something positive to take into the Int. Break. Just get someone in to help Defoe up front too hold up the ball more and we have the making of a decent squad should we add at least a couple more before the 31st.

Could not watch the game today as I was in a field working.

It all sounds very positive. I think a CM or 2 will come in over the next few days as well as a Striker, maybe the odd surprise signing and we're sorted.

For me the turning point was the loss of Borini through him taking a free kick with the foot that had the toe problem. FFS it was in the PvA area and losing Borini took the pressure of their back line and allowing an extra man in midfield.

Just a point for you Tweeters, why not send Pickford one giving him your support. Cheer the lad up a bit.

    Just watched the recorded game.

Back 2 were ropey for about 50 mins, got better after that but needs better communication.
Manquillo spot on. Pickford made some great saves bar the blooper.
Rodders was ok today, especially pushing forward, but he's nee Hoff or Catts for the back4. Peinnar good and busy but Gooch showed his inexperience, and was fairly anonymous.

We really need to get more out of dead balls though, we wasted so many decent chances.

Look forward to getting the 4 in we need.

I'm not on Twitter but I borrowed my wife's account and did just that, told him he had a great game and should grab the opportunity with both hands.

My wife's followers or whatever they're called will probably wonder why the hell she's tweeting pep talks to footballers haha.

I'm much more optimistic than I was after boro. Keeping Kone is massive if we pull it off, saves so much hassle! Watmore has been poor doesn't seem as complete a footballer as Gooch who has impressed apart from today.

If we do sign Iborra, Mason and Mvilla in January and keep Kirchhoff fit we only need another striker to ease the reliance on Defoe and back up for PVA and we'd be a good squad.

Good man. No doubt Jimmy *****mery will help to lift him as well, as a Sunderland legend he dropped a few clangers in his day. There is not a goalie alive who hasn't.

Aye he'll be kicking himself no doubt but if he was older and looking back he'd know it was no big deal. The good thing about the fans here is that he'll get nothing but full blooded support from us.

    • Jermain Defoe has scored 10 goals in his last 10 appearances away from home in the Premier League
    • Sunderland have now failed to win a game in their opening three matches of a Premier League season in each of the last six campaigns
    • The Black Cats have won just one of their 20 Premier League matches in the month of August since 2010-11 (Won one, drawn 10, lost nine)

I thought Kone and Bodji looked a little bit out of sorts with each other at times, not on the same wave length if you like, but it's early days and it's clearly evident that both are quality players and will gel in time. Finally, I think we have a decent back line if we can keep it together.

I think I get what your saying, that understanding Kone & Kaboul had comes with time though mate, I could see the pair being pals of the park and it'll come.

Individually they were more than solid I really am liking the look of Djib, very calm doesn't look under pressure.

Needs to be better in the air when we have corners mind, seems to meet a few with nee direction, not yesterday like.

Aye that's what I meant mate, bad with the drink this morning though and haven't woken up properly yet.

There were loads of positives yesterday and with more to come in (hopefully) the season has already started to look brighter.

Well pissed off with the streams like. I had a decent one on FirstRow that went down and there were two on the Amazon TV that were crap, I need to find a reliable source for the away games.

Aye it's a nightmare mate I hate missing any league games I couldn't get one stable until second half, I'm not at a time in life when I can justify away games now, I'm 4-5 a season tops, streams should be available outside the area of the home team, I'd happily pay £10 to watch a HD stream then the clubs and FA get extra revenue. Every single game is filmed in HD for the Premier League, open them up for away fans legitimately!
