Saw a good point raised earlier about Jack Stephens, and how unfair it was for him to play out of position last night.

Yoshi might have been a better shout as the more experienced head, with Stephens alongside Jose.

I think Puel went for solidity at centre back, have the experience of Yosh and Fonte vs Anichebe. There wasn't much pressure on Stephens at right back but Yoshi had his work cut out at times. It wouldn't be fair to judge Stephens potential career on one match out of position though

Oh Archers I agree,I used to get so annoyed at our fans who moaned when Fabrice went round and round in circles and disappeared up his own backside,he nearly always still had the ball at the end of it.
I also pay for entertainment first and foremost.

That's not fair Archers. Chris Marsden was a football genius if you remember rightly ;)

I too liked Fernandes, despite him being consistently incostistent. Still remember his lovely curling equaliser against Everton in the last minute, brilliant goal.

Actually I loved that team. One of the best central defensive pairings we ever had in Killer and Claus, Bridger and CM overlapping on the left, Jason Dodd, Beatts on fire for a couple of seasons, not forgetting Anders (put the Argies out), Matty Oakley, (we've got) Brett Ormerod. And Niemi was absolutely a world class keeper.

Hope the significance of that photo wasn't lost on people. JWP, Reed, Stephens, Isgrove, McQueen. All Academy players from the same age group, most of whom have played together since they were youngsters.

Add in Hojbjerg (21) and Olomola (19) and that was a very young team yesterday. It may not have been high in quality but it just makes the result even more satifying.

How about 'Sorry Mr Ref it won't happen again'. Write out 100 times,'I must not swear in public'.

I was praying for Olomola to score (odd for an atheist to pray but so be it). I was ready to kick off with "Olomola! daaah-daaah-du-du-du".

Doesn't make any sense until you know the tune...

This fixture pile up and the fact we have only lost 1 in the last 10 games is putting a terrible strain on our threaders. Richie is probably still in the ice bath.

Easy to forget that Hojbjerg is only 21 as well so plenty of time to get even better.
