I've clicked the OP (sorry SaintsFan4Life) and several others. SF4L says Fonte was not great, and the others say he was solid. Funny how we see different games. I thought Fonte was excellent and has been for several weeks now. The abuse he got at the end of last season and the start of this was so unwarranted. Where are his bashers now? Fonte and Shaw were excellent. Lallana's work rate was fantastic Morgan still did a good defensive job despite not being given the freedom to splay his passes about; he's always popping up to make a block.
I was disappointed with Lambert's performance in the second half. Looked tired to me and I think he needed to be brought off.
How we view players is affected by the result. The same game but with one more goal and most would raise the rating of each player by at least one point.
