That can only go down as a Gazza mistake I'm afraid, Clyne shouldn't have given away the free-kick but he should have saved it.
Christ I'm glad people on here aren't the coaches. Throwing a paddy every time a youngster makes a mistake. Shaw totally took his eye off the ball at times against QPR, as has JWP at times, but they have to learn. No point getting melodramatic over it.
He's talented. He's also frighteningly prone to blunders. It's an open question whether one cancels out the other.
Unfortunately you need your goalkeeper to not be error prone, as their errors lead to goals more frequently. This isn't the first time Gazza has made an error unfortunately. I think hes talented but I'm not sure hes ready.
Not throwing a paddy, just stating a point. With a solid Goalkeeper we'd be out of the relegation zone. You can't compare it to other outfield players though really, Gazza's concentration levels need to be at the max when there is a freekick and yet again another mistake. It's not good enough in premiership!
On the + side for much of the first half we were the better team. Still seems that Ramirez is on a different wave length to the other players sometimes but we have played some good football. More of the same (bar the mistakes!) and I can see us snatching this 2-1.
Who said he wasn't concentrating? Paulo has impressed me more than Boruc and considerably more than Kelvin who is an absolute abomination at this level.
**** i'm cold a ok half tho, people slagging off Gazza need to think he is our best keeper until at least jan. Davis can not react quick enough these days specially when diving and Boruc isn't getting anywhere near the first team. He is only young so give him a ****ing chance and stop bitching ffs.
Watching the game on stream, the wall was one man short and too far over and covering the goal. Error by Lallana too in not setting the wall properly
I don't want to keep rubbishing the lad but I feel gazza isn't technically good enough. He's shown to be good at the reflex save but the bread and butter stuff he is poor at. It's not just a nerves thing as whenever I have seen him he has shown poor technique. I say get Boruc in. Gazza will hopefully be able to polish his technique on loan or in fa cup games and in training as he does have some raw ability. Ramirez hasn't looked very dangerous today. Also I feel although Shaw has played well we might not have given that freekick for the goal away if Shaw had have had 7 days break. We are playing well enough for a win imo, can see a loss though.
Terrible timing. We played well all game and deserved our lead. Hope that simple error wont break the team confidence.
Two dodgy goals really, as Ricky could easily have been penalised for hand ball. what you gain on the swings you lose on the roundabouts. Now let's finish the job.
Norwich does -- and is doing -- a very good job of taking away space through the center of the park. We're doing good work down the right, though.
