O/T...Saints are in the third round draw this Sunday. For some reason, I thought there was another round yet. I like cups...can take your mind off the league.
Hope he gets a good reception if he comes on. Was unfortunate to be playing in that shocker of a side that got relegated from the Championship
Surman hardly makes the bench to be honest! Maybe cos he scored against wolves last season we may make an acception and put him on tonight too
Wonder if Surman would have carried on improving at Saints or whether we had him at his best. We will never know.
I really like Surman but doesn't offer us enough width with our current formation. Played really well in year we went up from championship and had some good games last year. Was rewarded with a new 3 year deal at end of last season, just doesn't fit the style we're playing. The short passing flowing football under lambert suited him more and he found ways to get him in the team last year and he worked hard but I don't think he's good enough to build a team around in the premiership and the way he plays almost forces that. He'd be a class signing for any championship team though!
No he's improved at Norwich, but we have signed better players since so he's been dropped. He was starting g to begin with but that was because Pilkington was recovering from an injury.
Going to be a cold one, hope the players are up for it! Very difficult to call this one but I'm not feeling particularly positive.
