Watford away when we won 1-0 from an early Adams pearler. If I remember rightly we won both the league matches of his suspension 1-0. Other was a cup match. Weren't we winless before his suspension too? Or is my mind completely playing tricks on me?
Looked it up, we lost 3-1 to Chelsea when he got sent off. Then beat Leeds at home, drew with Burnley at home, and then beat Watford away. All in the league. And I was right that they were our first wins of the season. In October
Am hoping that our home form is excellent and more Fortress St Mary's rather than a charity shop. 2 home wins all season for us long suffering fans. COYR Let's kick off with a great performance and a home win
Ok. I was fairly relaxed for first game of season. Lots of matches to go and a good chance we’d do better than in the EPL . I even watched a chunk of game…though missed all the goals. Got suspiciously hopeful after the win. Now faced with hoping Saints can win 2 consecutive games….that’s one win after another!!! Saints!? So scared
Just organised the circus that is getting me, my mate, my 82 year old dad and his wife from 3 separate houses in Bournemouth/Poole to Southampton tomorrow for the game. Getting excited now Also did a dry run of the dishwasher game this morning - a lot trickier than before as we have a new kitchen since I last did it. There is a stupid island now in the middle that impacts my speed (Mrs No7 design not mine). Still think I can do it though. It's the hope that kills.....
Chapel for me but not in my ST seat. Can't wait til tomorrow. What's the bets we don't score so I have to wait to celebrate a goal.
Just to get ahead of that in case it happens - I honestly couldn't give a **** if they do. It's football, these things happen. The adrenaline rush of a goal > the disappointment of a wrong decision against you.
You found anything obvious about VAR? I thought decisions were randomly generated by an Amstrad CPC 464
