I wasn’t thinking of myself, as I’m not a STH. I don’t know about now, but certainly in the past we’ve had STH’s from all over the country including London and some of the Northern cities, which are likely to be in higher tiers than Southampton. It just seems a bit unfair on them.
Although the logic is hard to argue with and we need it to work safely so the limits can be raised and everyone can get back The local ManUre fans might get their ground back for a while Met a local guy up there last visit who said his family were livid that the yanks had turned their ground into a tourist attraction. Don’t know how common that feeling is
I'd say the time for your mate to start worrying, is when the tourists stop being interested. I did a delivery once to Stamford Bridge, in the summer of 2012. The club shop was open, and full of Spanish and Italian tourists buying up armfuls of merchandise. That's what a CL win does for a club (and Chelsea are what, the 4th biggest club in London? Okay 3rd, but West Ham probably have bigger support). Anyway, the point being, an international profile is not something to resent.
Will there be any locations in Tier 1? it would appear that most places will be in Tier 2 or above (so a max. of 2000 fans?)
Agreed, its also about guile and l being a game winner, l do believe that Theo has that x-factor to turn a game.
Although I think finding ‘Stadium’ in the IOW might be even trickier than talking her into a post match party!
My concern was less about the ability of Walcott et al, and more about the vulnerability of Djenepo against the Utd midfield (Van de Beek, Bruno Fernandes etc). I think I'd trust the wiser heads of Walcott and Armstrong in the midfield for this one.
