calm down boys - we have just given last year's top two (and probablt his year's too) the fright of their lives. With the players we have to come in, we'll be fine. A little realism is called for.....we were never going to get much out of the first 4 games
Feel that if Adkins was going to replace the front three, he could have staggered it slightly, instead of removing our attacking threat all in one go. But then again, how many times has he got it right in the past? He is new to this like the players. We REALLY need to play like this against the non-top four. VP was completely shot of confidence I felt, by the time he missed the penalty. We let him regain that confidence.
From the BBC live text and we can take some heart from it although it doesn't mitigate the disappointment.
Seriously unlucky today guys. We robbed you in all honesty. Good to see another promoted team with proper attacking intent. It looks bad now, but i think you'll stay up.
Yes Fonte was tired but Seaborne against Van Persie? They'd have scored five. The tactics were fine, United were just too good in the end.
Man United have done this to every team in the Premiership before, many times over in some cases. I never for one second, at any point in the game, thought we'd get three points. I did think at 2-1 up that we need to get a third so that we can at least tie up a draw.
Painful to say but your team was better than mine on the day keep playing like that and you should stay up. that Lallana (can't spell) looks very good.
Actually were zero points after 3 games! And we have lost the first 3 games 4 times in the premier league and stayed up every time, so don't panic
I wouldn't say better but I think we deserved something from the game. Shame we have so many negative fans moaning and saying we aren't good enough 3 games into the season against the 2 best teams. And yes, Lallana is quality I'd rather you win the league than Man City...
I'm as bitter as anyone else, but the Premier league is a massive jump, and you wouldn't expect any new manager to hit the ground running immediately, let alone with our opening fixtures. That has given Adkins valuable experience, and I think all of us would admit that our expectations for these games would be to avoid getting embarrassed - which we probably all agree he has achieved.
