OH MY LORDY LORD..! I prostrate myself upon the Earth. We are certainly NOT worthy of Rooney and his Red Devilish pals. It appears I have been mistaken. I now know the reason why the Saints passing move of last season against Newcastle, which incidentally ended in a goal for Morgan, was completely ignored by the football media. It was because Saints only completed 43 passes, as Schneiders passed the ball over Tim Krul into the far corner of the net. I know because I have just recounted them all and jolly fine it looked too [not really, it was obviously abysmal]. I shall henceforth be minimising any little expression of delight from myself, and anyone else, at Saints good fortune at stringing together 43 passes, and bigging-up [as the phrase has it] the massive achievement of ManU in making a total of 44. I will take no argument. We're ****, they are brilliant. <whistle>

As long as it's not about my Jose...any apparent mistakes he makes are merely when he tries to correct the errors of others:rolleyes:

However, those 5 goals in 8 minutes scored yesterday, gave Sky the chance to show Mane's record breaking hat trick....nice to wake up to. :)

If we were going to metion every players weakness then surely it would be an endless topic. Picking out an individual player for criticism when he in everyone's view (apart from 2) has had a very good game scored 2 goals and now it appears was carrying a knock is something completely different, especially when there were players on the field that played no where near the level that this certain player did and they never came in for any criticism at all.

I really don't want to go back to this, but "apart from two" is incorrect (that'll be everyone at the game apart from one. The criticism of Pelle was only for 40 minutes of the second half. As a whole - the whole 90 - he was great rather than bad. It's just that the bad was so unnecessary). Also, other players did come in for criticism (Tadic and Fonte in particular), but people decided not to notice that.

I'm pretty sure i've only seen you and FLT commenting on his attitude and complete lack of interest in the second half, neither of you were saying the team as a whole or Man utd's play were the reason for Pelle's drop in performance your whole reason was a ****ty attitude from Pelle. Those who went to the game have all said different to you so yes it is only you and FLT picking him out for criticism. Like you say though no point in going over it again I just popped on and seen a few comments still discussing it so i thought i would comment.

And Vin, who was at the game. Even whoever it was (I can't remember, Archers?) that disagreed somewhat, did say it was noticeable.

And every single person was talking about it on the train on the way back.

It's not something anyone wants to say. You're making it sound like there's some kind of anti-Pelle bias going on. That's so far from the truth.

I've continually said that Koeman got it tactically wrong in the second half. That's why we lost. But a poor attitude is something that for me is inexcusable in a player, hence why I pointed it out.

    Good.
And BBC Sport are now showing the fastest hat-tricks on their website. The nice thing is, if you bookmark it, you can watch it anytime and as many times as you like, for as long as Auntie has a presence on the Net. And yes, Sadio's is there too. :)

I missed this game but saw some footage, I saw Mane tripped in the area for what I thought was a good shout for a penalty, the commentator said "Mane was running too fast there", well I didn't realise that if you run too fast, that it is not the defenders fault if he kicks you and brings you down". I seem to have got behind with the rules.

Watched the 90 minutes again and there was an extremely good shout indeed for a penalty involving JWP. He ran into the area with the ball and a ManU defender caught JWP's trailing leg which unbalanced him enough for a ManU defender to rob him of the ball, and he went down. On initial view he looked to have gone down late with no contact but replays showed he was fouled. Penalty.

Here's my final comment on this.

when I post something good and bad about a player in the same post/thread, why do they ignore the good part?

Ps Kitch - watch the WBA game. I hardly mentioned anything from that one and there wasn't any good :)

I'll also take it as a compliment if I'm in the minority as that's usually a good thing when it comes to fans views :)

For what its worth i agree with you ref Pelle and i was at the Utd game on Sunday, as do other friends when discussing Pelle's and the teams performance after other games this season. So the minority may not be that minor ! Still onwards & upwards and hopefully a better performance & result v Swansea on Saturday.
