I think what gets me most is the commitment we showed in essentially a meaningless match, against one of the best teams in world - as compared to what Bmouth served up against Palace or Newcastle, or Norwich against Brighton and us, or Watford against Burnley or us. Playing half-arsed, like the matches were friendlies rather than huge relegation battles.
A win A home win A win against Man City A win watched by the nation on the bbc A clean sheet A Che Adams wonder goal A very proud saints supporter
Didn’t watch, sounds like a great performance. About 70 minutes in a Spurs mate messaged me saying “hope you sign KWP he is seriously ****”. Doesn’t sound like he has played badly since the restart? Was he poor today (hard to imagine that with keeping a clean sheet against City)
For those turning on the BBC on a Sunday evening expecting to see the antiques road show, I can tell you now, that performance was priceless.
Eddie Howe should show the whole 90 minutes of this game to his players and demand that level of commitment.
Fair, guess he wasn’t watching. Probably a case of being terrible in his last few Spurs appearances and he has been written off by their fans
I checked the score at half time........when I saw the score I didn’t dare watch the game. Will watch on match of the day though .. well done you saints. I see we are last again...........
He was seriously brilliant. The best RB performance of the season, or at least equal to JWP v Palace.
KWP was seriously brilliant today, as he was last week. To be honest, you couldn't give any player under a 9/10. Match ratings: 10s for Mccarthy, KWP, Stephens, Bednarek, Bertrand, jwp, romeu, armstrong, Redders, Adams and Ings. Long came on and gets a 10 and so did smallbone. Ralph 11
Seriously, did someone clone Van Dijk before he left and make it look like Jack Stephens because I can't believe the difference in Stephens from a year ago.
