Tactics mean bugger all if the players you have at your disposal are a shower of **** like Skrtel and Mignolet.

    Lol....Well Done LVG.

We have seen the result from Southampton today. Liverpool were 2-0 up at half-time and at full-time it was 3-2 to Southampton,” van Gaal began, reported in the Echo.
I have not seen the match but I can only conclude it was because of tiredness and that is what we have done to them.”

He's that good a manager that he masterminds other teams wins by getting put out of competitions...

    Now that's a desperate angle.....

All this talk of ****e players is slightly off the mark.

What we need is a top top player. A Suarez which can galvanise the whole team and make players play better than they usually can.

A mignolet , Benteke lallana or Henderson will be energised by the presence of such a player.

My brainstorm suggestion is: don't get rid of current players just invest (!) in another Suarez. ;)

it was fairly desperate. as if any self respecting manc would cling to lfc losing rather than be buoyed by utd beating city and closing right in on 4th.

might work... any troubled superstars out there who've bitten a player and need to move on.

Our reaconrd on torubled talents has been good. aquilani, suarez, balotelli... if it keeps going miss, hit, miss maybe the next one will be brill.

As someone pointed out (I think it was Jimmy) if Lovren can't cope with his old home fans' reaction he's no business earning what he earns or indeed calling himself a £20 mill player. He wants to man the **** up. They weren't exactly going to welcome him with open arms at the end of the day. It's an occupational hazard that one day you have to play against your old side.

FFS If it bothers him that much he should go play in another country altogether; and if he does that say that team meets his old UK team in the EL or CL. <doh>

Always seem to follow a defeat, or a victory by a rival.

Typically Tobercal, as the case may be.

Finally got round to watching the highlights from yesterday's matches.

    The Skrtel haters are deluded.

He was at fault for the penalty but it was saved.

The first goal was comedy passing between Can and Flanagan followed by Mane making Sakho look like a flat footed mug.

The second goal was just a quality finish. Skrtel actually won his header, but if you want to scapegoat someone then Sakho didn't get close enough to Pelle before he shot.

The third goal started with another dreadful clearance by Mignolet. Skrtel did miss his header so was partially at fault.

And Sakho got skinned again. He was the worst culprit in all three goals but gets off scott free with this lot.

I don't think you understand what getting "skinned" actually means. If you want to see someone actually getting skinned watch Rashford Vs Demichelis or Coutinho Vs half the Man Utd team.

Yawn...the entire team has been blamed as has the manager..

"This lot" have multiple varied opinions...

How proud are "you lot" that your manager takes responsibility for our defeat....to another team...allowing them within 3 points of you....all by getting humiliated out of another competition...

Personally I think it was genius....<applause>

If you watched the full interview on Sky he was making an excuse for your collapse, he said we tired you out as did you to us and then things like this can happen. You all just jump on anything an opponent says without taking into account the full quote and context.

True, first two he got skinned, the third he was totally the wrong side of the striker when the ball was passed in to him.
