Nice post. But in reality I hold good performances higher than results. Not 9-0 defeats but I would have preferred losing 1-4 with a few more attempts on goal and higher possession
Up until half-time we were doing fine. Don’t mind going defensive first half. The main thing is to be in with a shout going into the second half, which is how it went. No one wants to be 3-0 down after 20 minutes. But second half we should have come out all guns blazing. As Mowgli says, might as well lose 4-1 having gone for it, than lose 2-1 parking the bus and being dominated.

more relevant is that he leads the league outside the top 6 in chances created. Assists require someone to out them away which isn’t his problem per se.
Indeed. You weren't wrong though, his deadball ability is world class but from open play he is a great disrupter, not a great creator. I can remember a few games where he has played good crosses into the box or slipped a thru ball out wide but the overall impression this season is of a phenomenal holding mid who lacks vision. edit - this is probably a case of holding JWP accountable for wider team failings.
