"A few lucky wins" and "Punching above their ability", I have never read such ignorance and to be truthful, tommyrot, on this forum before. We are at the top of the table on merit, as we have been the best and most consistant team in the division (and not one lucky win from the matches I have witnessed). Just because we have come up from League One, doesn't mean we have a League One squad. The truth is that the squad are improving and like Norwich before us, have yet to find its' true level. I would never comment on the performance of Hull, as I haven't seen them play yet, but I can say, without a hint of bias that we deserve to be where we are and have every chance of promotion.
Fair enough and i agree you should go for it and not try and contain us,we are beatable and you should definitely attack us! we'll get more space then
I fancy a sneaky 2-1 win to City. Southampton to go ahead early and become over-confident due to their home record. City will equalise late on and while Southampton are still getting over the shock we'll grab the winner.
We don't throw away leads. Every game which we haven't won this season, we have gone 1-0 down in. We don't do 0-0 nils. We don't throw away leads.
Midfielder Richard Chaplow looks set to miss Southampton's home clash with Hull in the npower Championship on Tuesday - according to Sporting Life.
3-0 Southampton now that we know the Goulash is in goal. They'll just keep pumping in the high balls and Lambert will make mincemeat of him. Back-4's confidence is destroyed. Get well soon Adriano...and sign Mannone in January Nicky!!
Massive test. I don't think it's unreasonable to say that anything other than defeat would be very welcome. Unfortunately, I can't see much in this for us. For me, we need to be bold and fight fire with fire. We can mix it in terms of decent, attacking football - but keeping them out is gonna be a tough ask. Fingers crossed.
maybe you need to take off those rose tinted specs. enjoy what you have done as you dont know when it may end. lets all look forward to a cracking game eh and worry about the league table further on down the track.
your the ******. yes we have and very unlucky to lose all 3. not as though those 3 loses were bad efforts. may i suggest you give your head a bang
Maybe so for Barnsley and West Ham but we were our own worst enemies and saturday, and it could still linger going into the next match.
yes it will be a cracker if both teams play like they can do. the real winners will be the paying public. since barmby took over the shackles have come off. 4 goals scored in 2 games says it all. in the previous 5 games under pearson we just scored 5 goals an ave of 1 a game. Shocking return.
Surely winning, by any means possible, matters more than how many you score. For that instance you can't have a go at Pearson on his previous record.
what utter rubbish. i am happy that its not west ham who are top like everyone said they would be before a ball was kicked. its nothing personal just a view ive got from what ive seen of southampton. no hate from me at all. as for cingey stuff olm your phones are ringing in the kettle and pot dept.
well lets see what happens then shall we. ive made my prediction for the game as 2-1 hull city. may the best team win.
