Indeed. One man’s packed midfield is another man’s narrow midfield

It’s 11 v 11 so any overload leaves space elsewhere

Going by the general pattern this season the real question is whether we’ll be 3-0 up or down at half time and after the break will it end up 3-2 3-3 or 3-4?

Indeed but a packed midfield stops us playing the passing game from defence out into midfield and then attack, just look at last seasons game. We will need to bypass midfield if they do as I suspect. I suspect they will play 4-5-1 so we won't be able to play the passing game as we normally do

Lots of diagonals to KWP and Bertie then.

Vestergaard is our only CB (not seen Salisu tbf) that can execute this sort of pass, could be an asset

I tend to disagree as I think Stephens is a great passer of the ball. He is still highly regarded in Swindon where he played on loan as a midfielder and did well.

I can't see why Armstrong would be anything but raring to go?

He has not played in 2 weeks and will still have been training at home, so you'd think he would be well rested and chomping at the bit!

A bit more of an update on Salisu:

“Sali is still building up to being part of the team,” Ralph added. “He has been in team training this week, completely, but we have to be careful with him.

“There were some bigger issues we had with him and these issues will last a little bit longer, so we have to take care of him, but he is coming back.

“Maybe it takes one more week and then he is able to play, but we will give him all the time he needs to solve his issues.

“We knew it was not a short-term project. It is a long-term project, he is a good guy, and I’m sure that he will help us in the future.”

I wonder if these issues aren't really physical but emotional.

We’ve completely changed our formation since last season and Carlo has bought an actual midfield, as the previous one was disjointed and didn’t have a ball winner in it. We play 4-3-3 now.

We haven’t got a long list of injuries amongst those who’d be automatic first team starters. We’ve got Coleman out, Richarlison is suspended and Rodriguez is a slight doubt.

Messing with our heads....I can't take any chances with my fantasy team after making Vardy my captain last week I've brought Grealish in for one week.

This is all problems and solution isn't it. You can have the right tactics but its all in the execution. Let's hope we have solutions and execute them well

EDIT: & Tobes says they play 433 now anyway, so we'll overrun them in midfield!

I think you may be missing something in the translation here
Sisi and Fifi are common names there so Sali may not be an issue

    EDIT: There = Ghana
