How are people saying that is dirty or filthy etc?! Digne was just running behind him - he clearly did not mean to stand on KWP heel. Obviously it looks bad as naturally it was his studs landing on KWP, but surely that was not intentional.
But, but, they're Everton, and they're only playing, ooh, who is it now, Saints? How can the ref be so unbiased?
Agreed. Better last 10 mins to be fair. I like him too but we waste too many good openings and end up dropping points. He is a prime offender in that.
I would say not strictly dirty, as he didn’t mean to catch him like that. But I would also say he can have no complaints about the red. He was clearly not playing the ball and just trying to nibble at KWP’s heels. Probably thought he would get a foul, possibly a yellow but stop the attack. If you are intentionally giving up a foul, but you do it wrong, I don’t have a problem if you get a red. It was an accidental red, but still a red.
I don't feel remotely relaxed, considering we're 2-0 with minutes to go. But then, I'm not watching the game. Are we looking comfortable?
Ralph is very cautious with his changes. At 2-0 up and Everton down to 10, Id have thought maybe get Diallo/Tella on to rest Armstrong as well as see what they can both contribute. Ralph spoke highly of Tella before this game, I was expecting him to feature at some point.
