Matchday! Not excited, not nervous, not ****ting myself. Just meh! That is what they have reduced me to. Not going to get too high and not going to get too low with the result. After all, it is a game of football, where hard work beats talent if talent doesn't work hard. We may be under pressure, but pressure makes diamonds. So get in the building, play a game of football, get on the bus (let's hope we park it) with a smile on your face, it's as simple as that!
That's what I feel like...pretty neutral. I was pleased we beat Everton in the Cup, but had none of that leaping round the room feeling that I would have had in the past. So I don't get so down, but my ups have been tamped down as well. A nice big victory against Chelsea might restore my va va voom.
Little to lose and a hell of a lot to gain today, Chelsea are expected to win easily, but if we perform well and keep it narrow or actually gain something from it then I think that the fans will react positively. I have a sneaky feeling for a 1-1 draw myself. COYR!
Im officially an OAP today so hoping for an unexpected 'lump sum' i.e. a goal more than Cheski score ! Just off to Witherspoons to drink my first weeks pension with my mates before we walk over to St Marys. COYS !!
That's just it. All I am hoping for is a good Saints performance to be proud of. If Chelsea beat us by quality fair enough, but let's at least give them a run for their money.
Yep, I like that, keeping almost a winning team and formation. Only downers are Hoedt (but maybe he will be better in a 3) and JWP, who is finished here if he can't make the bench in front of Davis.
