I don't disagree. But it doesn't change the fact that we're resting them. If we turn to them at HT, we might as well have just started with them. If Ralph wants them fresh for the final two games, then fine. We'll have to put up with the less-than-useful replacements.
Can’t understand why Pierre is played out of position when he is struggling to play well in his preferred position. Stephens would be more logical if we have to rest KWP.
So pleased Redders actually went on the outside there. He needs to do so much more. Keep working on his left foot in training
Stephens needs a rest but I do think we should have played JWP at RB. We know he can do so would make sense. No point in making a ton of changes as people have said, players don't suddenly not need a rest because we are losing.
Fairly even half, quite end to end. Saints started well but struggled to keep up the tempo - lots more sideways and backwards passing; not surprising considering the number of changes. Disappointing goal to concede. When we move the ball quickly Brighton struggle but there is little point of playing high balls into their box!
We’ve not yet played him at CB though have we? Haven’t all his games been slightly out of position as a full back?
When I saw it was her who had raised the flag, I didn’t need to watch the replay, I just accepted it was the correct decision. She is a superb official!
I would bring on Shane for Obafemi. Shane hasn't played that much since the restart and Obafemi hasn't done a lot.
