I hope not...because then we really have stopped being the Saints that I love.

AFCB have been very much the aggressors in previous matches.

Edit: We usually keep ours for the players <laugh>

Apparently some fans have reacted badly to Romeu's request that we all stick together. Personally I admire him for it....at least he seems to care. He must feel how far everything has gone since he won the double award for best player last season....that must hurt. It does all come down to the players of course, but a request for help is fine by me. We all want the same thing, so time to support the team without criticism. Criticism can be saved for after the season ends.

P.s. this does not mean I will be certain to come on Saturday. I am a real cowardy custard. The shame:oops:

Your probably right AR. But I know through the grapevine they'll be a fair few of our lot out and about not bothered about who wins the game on Saturday.

If they're not bothered who wins then they aren't supporters, just some random thugs looking for a fight and hiding behind football.

Totally agree , not condoning it I think this "derby" game just fell at a perfect time for a few "supporters" to let out a bit of fustration thats built up over the season.

I'll feel seriously sick if the plastic Skates start singing "Sha la la la la la la la" at any time during the match.

    Dear Bournemouth,

Oh Dear! You seem to be suffering from a case of mistaken identity. Some of your fans believe that you are our rivals. This will not stand! Frankly, why the heck would you want to be Portsmouth, a town where the last hurricane caused £3,000 worth of improvements? You can be so much better than that. You really shouldn't demean yourselves so - it does you no credit, and no true Southampton fan would wish to heap such ignominy upon you.

There is, of course, the matter of the forthcoming match on Saturday. Now, as you may well know, the good ship Southampton has sailed into some rough weather recently and we really need the points to stave off the threat of relegation. Maintaining Southampton's Premiership status is in your interests, too. Do you really want to travel all the way to Swansea or Stoke, when Southampton is just down the road? No, of course not!

So here's my recommendation. Instead of playing football on Saturday, may I invite you to a game of international musical statues? Every time you hear our crowd chant Oh when the Saints, make sure you stand as still as possible. Yes, I know most our players will still probably struggle to get a shot on target, let alone beat the offside trap, but, frankly, you're really not helping matters with constant forward momentum, passing and possession football. So when Oh when the Saints strikes up please curtail such frivolous activity, and we'll give your least active player a balloon and a party bag at the end of the match. You know it makes sense!

    Yours earnestly,

    Disgruntled from Southampton

Jack back in squad after suspension; Davis unavailable (probably for rest of season :emoticon-0106-cryin) with his Achilles tendon problem; & Sophie's training with U23s for the time being.

But still enough about the squad to get 3 much needed points!

Shame about Davis, we need his leadership as Bertrand really isn’t a leader. I agree, though, on paper we have enough there to beat the Cherries.

Yep, not looking too good for Davis after a scan revealed existing damage. Been a case of train for a couple of days then breakdown again. Not ideal, particularly at his 'age' now... wish him well; he has been a big miss in recent weeks.

Yes, such a shame for him, never good for a 33 year old to get a long term injury like that. I really hope he can shake it off over the summer, we’ll need his fighting spirit whatever happens in the next couple of weeks.

Even on Sunday I noticed it was Yoshida doing the shouting and telling players to push up.

Yoshi is one of the good guys. No doubting his loyalty (while he is here....and I don't mean that in a nasty way....just that he is honourable).

Makes me wonder why he is not captain. Seems much more vocal and always give everything. Good guy off the pitch as well.
