If you have Saints Player, do watch the extended highlights, it's worth it to hear how long it takes Adam Blackmore and Dave Merrington to work out how long Mané's hat trick takes. I love those guys.
Thanks for posting....been waiting for this. Amazing how you can't tell from the players faces who is 5-1 up and who is 5-1 down...pure concentration I guess. Pity there wasn't a shot of Nigel...glad he was invited back.
I was just about to go over there. I always watch the Premier League highlights to hear a neutral commentator's take on things, then onto Blackmore and Merrington with the extended highlights. I might even throw in a 90 minute watch as well. 6-1 is worth it.
http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...ed-europe-s-best-after-aston-villa-demolition Mane named in Europe Team of Week by Gazetto della Sport. Hardly surprising...must have made people sit up and look. As long as all they do is look.....
The "uncovered" was a really good watch, especially after such a win, season & last home game. Wonder what Sammy Lee thinks of all this ? Love his enthusiasm & passion off the bench. He's had great experiences in his playing career, so will have a good insight to what's going on here. I'd love to hear an interview from him.
Where can you get a 90 minute watch? I have always found the 60 minute version inadequate for my life style!
Sammy Lee is a hazard to the rest of the bench when Saints score. He's a bit like a Jack Russell chasing his tail...they have to look before they leap up in case they trip over him.
Long said that Koeman had told him that their goalie comes off his line like a sweeper, so he tried it. He added that it could have gone all wrong.
Pelle's was better than Austin's for three reasons: 1. The cushioned ball into him, the cushioned first touch on the volley and the audacity to then volley overhead into the top corner. 2. Fraser should have got to Austin's (I don't really believe that but it was vogue about that time to blame Fraser for any goals and it is slightly more credible than my reason three) 3. He was wearing a red and white stripes Saints shirt, so of course it was better.
We'll have to disagree on that one then, though your 2nd reason did make me chuckle I just think Pelles although was great, he set up for himself and would score it 10/100 times, whereas Austin's was the touch, swivel, shot all in one fluid motion and would only go in like it did once out of 100.
I thought reason 3 was better. Pelle also had touch, swivel, shot all in one go, with the addition of "check hair"
Reason 3 was the best yeah, but number 2 actually made me laugh out loud at work! And yeah but Pelle's touch was coming towards him with his back facing to goal, that's a lot easier than a ball coming across your body at pace imo. Anyway fingers crossed Austin will be in red & white next year anyway
