I'd be happy with that. A fit Redmond with something to prove would be a great addition, and Walcott needs a break.
Not about logic....so please don't waste my time trying to convince me....of the 2 games, I'd rather have won the FA Cup game. If it turns out at the end of the season that this league match cost us a Euro place, I will put my hand up that I was wrong, but for now, I'm just pleased to be in the Cup still.
Where we are now, there is a logic. We don't know what awaits us should we beat Wolves, but currently the FA Cup looks winnable. We do know that getting into the top 6 could prove a challenge given our limited resources and totally useless manager
Agree, I'm amazed that Theo has played so much time, bearing in mind his pre-Saints return experience. Just wondering what an on song Nathan/Theo partnership could do? Hopefully over the next few weeks we'll find out! We do need to start picking up points with a bit more consistency, it's been a real test of our resources and I'm really excited to think that we are where we are despite the recent challenges with injuries etc.
I suspect our Chairman bought a football club for status (of course) but also as a means of getting some of his personal wealth out of China. But the Chinese government won’t allow that to happen. This is all revenge for the Opium Wars and the failure of the Boxer Rebellion. Not sure why Saints copped for this particular slice of Karma, but there’s probably a nautical connection between Southampton and some Yangtze River port.
Palmerston. Foreign secretary 1830-1841. Lived in Romsey. We could go and pull down his statue, but he was strongly anti-slavery, so it would be a bit of a mixed message...
