I thought Jose and Virgil had Giroud in their pockets all night.

Just got back from the game. 10s all round if we are rating players. But two standout performances - Koeman and Wanyama. This Kenyan is a hero. Our hero.

Also the best atmosphere at a game I have been to in a long, long time. And I was sat right behind the far post/goal so had a perfect view of Martina's shot!

I thought Long was going to talk himself into a red card tonight.
The lack of protection, he received from the ref, including the incident he waved play on, then sent Long to the side (presumably) to receive treatment for a cut, is indicative of the refs we get for most games.
His booking, for putting the ball back where the (non) free kick had been awarded, was a joke, especially after the ref had just made a big thing about having a throw in taken from the right spot.
With Long scoring twice, let's hope the board don't think we're okay in that area, especially with Pelle now out, and no sign of JRod.
We scared Arsenal, with the pace up front, so another speedy striker is a must, for competition.

That's one of the first matches at home I didn't feel we'd win, but I forgot that, in all the turmoil and confusion of Christmas, Arsenal are just the right team to play against. They are always going to to give a chance to a good team. And Saints are a very good team who just haven't been playing very well for much of this season. Here's hoping the corner has been turned.

And don't bother with MOTD and everyone else. Here's OUR match all over again: http://www.footballorgin.net/2015/12/premier-league-2015-2016-southampton-v_26.html

Long has scored 5 and made 2 assists in his last 7 starts. Give him a chance @CF I say!

Mane and Long terrified the Arsenal defence the whole game, pace always worries defenders.

I said before the game TSS, that despite their form, Arsenal could be the perfect team to play.

Means the bench is wafer thin but I'm fine with the same team starting against spam.

In Poland today and caught the commentary of the first half... Got a lift round the local town to find somewhere with the TV on... Just got in the door to see the 3-0 score turn to 4-0 ... Have no idea but celebrated the win win by splashing out 5 zloty on a beef ... (That's about 90
especially his support for Martina at the end of that interview piece, seems like they have a bunch of top blokes there....

We'll have to be careful. It's two days after a mammoth effort tonight. Players need to recover.

I'd expect Ron to make a change or two.

Can never curse Shane. He gets kicked black and blue and gives his best ( even if that is twenty foot over the bar)

Hopefully Ryan Seager might get some gametime then.

A bit of luck, a wonder strike, a renewal of confidence, and three points. Just what the doctor ordered.

    Crisis over.
