I know I'm late to the party, but have you really given Morgan a 6? Is that a joke? He was my MOM again today. Positionally he is excellent, he is tackling, braking up attackes and passing is awesome. He is beginning to look like the quality player we knew he could be.

What? Chaplow has scored 4 goals this season... in 12 starts and 7 sub appearances. If you're going to argue with facts, get them right.

Is it possible that we start at Watford with a Lambert + Lee pairing with Punch and Adam outside. Guly has often gone missing away but might do better coming on as a sub mid second half.

Davis 7..did everything he had to and also acted decisively when needed. Good save through players legs.
Harding 6,,good performance..don't get the over the top criticism of him.
    Fonte 7...usual solid self
Hooiveld 7/8 Love this guy, solid in defence, scores goals and great team player
Fox 7/8 Three assists..what can you say.
Chaplow 7 ...good but sure more to come
    Cork 7 usual strong performance
Schneiderlin 7 good performance and muscled players off ball despite being called lightweight by some
Lallana 8 Wonderful player and now back in the goals. (MOTM)
Sharp 6 Did some good stuff, but looked a little lost. Will get better.
Lambert 8 He is everywhere, which perhaps keeps him out of the goals. Good free kick from distance.

Martin 7ish...made me nervous by selling Davis short on 2 occasions, but soon settled. Good goal.
Lee 7/8 Looks extremely promising, will worry teams in the future. Great goal.
Puncheon 6 Will do a good job for us over the rest of season.

Adkins 12 Took a tough decision and replaced Sharp with Lee.

Morgan was my MOTM, followed by Lallana. Morgan won everything and barely put a pass astray, he also ran his socks off. Adam was creative, intelligent, tracked back and was a great outlet when they did apply pressure (which was rare).

As I said on another thread, Harding was in the Championship team of the day in the Mirror...what that says about Harding or the Mirror I don't know:smile:

Wally Downes did for Harding when he said he had a touch of the lavender about him.

Note: the one who wasn't good enough for Saints was Wally Downes. ;)

I watched a great game of football and enjoyed every minute of it. Every one of our players was superb and I will not participate in a nit picking critcising thread by highlighting any of them for praise or criticism.

I have my favourites but boy are we lucky to have such a great squad of players.

Listen imbecile, I am talking purely about league stats with Chaplow, Guly and De Ridder. Puncheon I mentioned total club games purely because he hadn't had enough appearances this season. You should have realized that when I mentioned Guly's assists and goals.

Just to defend Fox on your point. If Lallana or the midfielders show for him he will play it simply, but often he receives the ball in fairly isolated positions and the main ball available is the longer ball toward Lambert or Sharp.
When you have someone of Lamberts ability in the air then this is a great option and often results in attacks where we can claim the 2nd ball or force the oppo to knock it out of play and gain territory(horrible egg chasing term).
