they have a very high line it feels like we should be able to get behind with armstrong or ings if we play it quicker
I've not seen much evidence of pressing in the first half. Our wing backs are sitting back, making it a 5 at the back, and we're letting WHU come at us over and over. Valery and Targett need to get further forward, and we need some more urgency from the midfield
West Ham are a decent team. However, really missing Hojbjerg. God knows what will happen second half.
Tough game this. Some of the old habits creeping in. A lot resting on the two managers at half time, and the sub decisions. A win is still on, despite a bit of a tentative half.
West Ham doing a great job of battling and closing down in midfield. We look a little tired. Still, so much more solid from us than the last couple of years. We still look like we know how to play football, even not at our best. Would probably take a point here. More intensity second half please chaps
Thought we started well and were bright for the first 15-20 and then West Ham came into it more and were the better team. We've looked much better defensive imo though we were a bit lucky with the Perez miss. Most of us knew this wouldn't be an easy game and West Ham are showing they're a good team. Other than that think it's been a game of few chances with both teams decision making letting them down a bit, still all to play for and could go either way. Wouldn't mind seeing Prowsey in a Ralph team.
Buffoon WHU are playing well lately and it’s a hard game THAT WE HAVE NOT CONCEDED SO FAR. To say that is absolute ****, whilst this is your opinion, is just nuts and **** knows what your expectations are.
West ham look good. We look a bit poor, targett and lemina standing out as a bit off the pace. Lets hope Bertrand is back soon.
West ham have been passing around our press pretty well, partly because their defenders are helping in midfeld so much, and we seemed to have given up on it. when we do win it though their defenders are so far forward if we can get ings in behind them then i think we can score. right now both Armstrong and Ings are coming back to support the defence and we dont have anyone on the shoulder of their defence.
Need Lemina/Romeu to start covering in behind Targett when he goes forward. He is way too slow to get back which everyone should know, so when he goes forward need the midfield to shift across. Antonio getting in behind too often and luckily that Diang guy is useless or they could've created much more. Watch Diang score a hattrick now
Think we're looking a little leggy too. Missing PEH in the middle because Mario hasn't been up to the mark in that first half. Romeu trying to do two jobs at once.
Our only chance, Redmond passed to their GK instead of Ings (grr) Their only chance, well turns out Perez isn't that good, who knew. We need to build something better if we want chances that aren't just deep crosses. They have no bench, big chance for Hütt to do something proactive.
It's almost like that because we beat Huddersfield and they lost to Watford that the 4 games they won in a row beforehand don't count anymore and we have to win and have to win NOW!
