What I mean is if it is humanly possible to be at the stadium at 7:45 I will be there, but it will take a very good run down.

If we go through on Thursday I shall go home and pour myself a large scotch and be very happy. If we go out on Thursday I shall go home and pour myself a large scotch and be disappointed for about ten minutes then I shall focus on what is really important in life. FFS it is just a game. Get a life.

Yeah, we are always on the brink of getting through to the knock out stages in the european competitions, this is just another meaningless game.

Same for me with a wine instead (I'm not yet a retired hard-core alcy - just a hopefully in the next 10 years retired alcy:) ). Had the Grandson over from the states this week for a week (going back on Tuesday :( ) and that is why I didn't react to the CP loss. Football (Saints) is important, but in life there are other things that matter more.

Now I've got that off my chest, in the danger of agreeing with StG, nothing less than a 3-0 win...or 3-0 in the 91st min will do to calm my nerves.

COYR, we can do this. We will do this. Just remember after all those years of being a fan I can't make the final so we're bound to get there :)

What are you on about? It's a huge game in a sport we love, of course we are going to make a big deal of it. No one is saying they'll top themselves if we lose or anything stupid. Everyone is just exciting for a big game, don't understand who your message is aimed at?

I am as excited and as optimistic as anyone but I refuse to lose sight of the fact that it is just a game of football and the parameters by which I measure satisfaction in my life have **** all to do with the outcome. There are a thousand things in life more important than football despite what that twat Shankley may have said.

Please note I am not a wum. I am as loyal a Saint supporter as anyone else I just don't let it dominate my life.

Fair enough, but who was that aimed at?
I couldn't see anyone that was making out football was more important than life? Everyone seemed pretty rational to me.

Err... I live in Dubai... it won't be cheap for me; its not the cost of the flight but supplicating my wife with the duty-free perfumes and cosmetics on the way back - would need a second mortgage!

And he called us "Ale House Brawlers"... the cheek of it! We weren't quite as cultured back then, that was all.

Ok, I'm at Heathrow waiting for my boss. I drop him back tomorrow morning and collect two more Americans and then drop them back Wednesday evening... that should keep me occupied rather than asking if it's Thursday yet, every 30 minutes!!!

    Come on you Reds.
