Must say I agree with Madejski. "I am getting fed up with this carping about the manager and this ghastly sort of merry-go-round of managers leavingâ Sir John Madejski. The media seem to find it fascinating but I don't find entertainment over it myself.
To be honest there is likely to be a casualty in managers if there is a win me thinks..I think reading will scramble a result......Which means that O'neil is the likely man. They were patient for about the same time, years ago with Lawrie Mac and then bang out the door he went!! Cannot see that O'neil will last much longer to be honest even if he does get the result.
Problem is if Sunderland lose tonight you can't see them getting anything Saturday at United. So when do you make the decision. Leave it until Jan and it could be too late.
Stability is the key if you can see that the manager still has the dressing room and that the team is making some improvements. Stability is not necessarily the answer if you can't see where the team is going. O'Neill is a good manager...Sunderland would have to think who would they get if he left (and no they can't have you-know-who!)
