Never bet on Saints, always do accumulators. Had a few wins that have more then covered my bets. I usually bet every saturday, but never bet more then a tenner.

Once did a 28 team accumulator had a pound bet, could have won 88k. Was two games of from doing it :(.

My brother once bet a tenner on saints to beat Burnley 3 2 at st marys it was 33 to1 and low and behold with the score at 2 apeice we get a pen and who steps up to take yes David Mcgoaldrought and yes you guessed it he missed my bro with good reason disliked him ever since and was glad to see the back of him .The only plus at that time was that we never lost which at that time was almost a miracle itself

I used to bet semi professionally but have cut down considerably. Still like to bet on the horses and football though. Usual stake is £50 win or ew. Last really big win was when Mon Mone won the national at 100/1. Netted me 5K but skybet closed my account the next week. Sore losers!

I put £25 each way on Lambert being league top goal scorer at 22-1 which will pay out £675 which would be nice.

Have worked for one of the major UK bookmakers for the last 8 and a bit years in their trading department. Won't say which one or my role, but working on the inside helps you spot 'value' bets with other bookmakers when they crop up. Anyway, I've got a bigger than usual position on Lambert top Championship goalscorer having backed him each-way at 5/1, then win only at 15/8, and again at 6/5. He's trading Even money most bookies currently. Anyway, my position is +£4285 if he is top g/s, -£735 if he's 2nd/3rd/4th, and -£1860 if he's 5th or lower.

Biggest ever return was the day Mon Mome won the national as I read somebody earlier had done also when I won £13k (because of big odds), but obviously I don't always win. I've had losing bets of up to £2k also, and it kills when that happens. You can do it though, just need to spend time on your subject matter.

Oh, and fair play to wheres_me_guly for having faith earlier than me and getting the really big odds ;-)
