Elliot - very poor
Yedlin - showed passion and energy. A lucky boy nonetheless.
Lascelles and Lejeune - a good partnership. One mistake from Lejeune but looked shattered.
Manquillo - another player who plays better at LB than their actual position. Thought he did well.
Hayden - good goal, headless at times, some good movement.
Shelvey - truly not good enough to be a starter, I can see why he was though with Merino playing 2 games. Passing was woeful, can't tackle and not much else.
Atsu - slated the signing at the start of the season but does appear to be better than I first gave him credit for. Still learning though.
Ritchie - had some good moments but plays like I do in 5-a-s-de, my team concedes so I get pissed off with my mates so try to score just by myself. Free kicks were dreadful and decision making not up to scratch today.
Perez - worked hard. Good goal. Still needs to improve on the goal scoring front. Maybe this goal will give him the confidence the fans won't give.
Joselu - won't score many goals but he is a workaholic. Just what you need in this sort of game and he did it well.
Subs:
Murphy - £12M? Wow! Not sure if he is any good but did nothing.
Merino - On another level to the rest of our players. Him and Hayden should be starters.
Gayle - I know the claim of a hamstring injury is out there but if that is the case then Rafa ****ed up by not having a different striker on the bench. Mitrovic ya knob!
Rafa - team spirit is right up there. Defence is the best I have seen it since........ since Woodgate turned Bramble into a worldie. Only issue I have is the subs. Diame should not be on the bench - Barlaser maybe? Gayle if injured should not be there - if not Mitro thenHeardman?
