Well, will be at this game tomorrow after travelling 5 miles west to go 10 miles east, that's got to be a first. Good to see Connolly and Chaplow back in training; however they may be physically fit according to NA but are they match-fit: NO. So I don't think either of these two will figure; definately won't start As long as Lambert is fully fit, I think we will do OK as he looked very hungry for goals at the Blackpool game - thought at one point he was going to throttle de Ridder after he didn't pass, de Ridder almost s**t himself !! Going to go for 2-2 in this one with RL grabbing at least 1 goal
I think Guly could be the key player in this one (assuming Davis is fit, otherwise Bart will probably be the key player, for all the wrong reasons!). Of course there's Lambert, Lallana, Richardson etc, but I just think that Guly could be the difference between winning and losing. If he puts in one his performances, we take the points back down the road with us.
Come on you Reds. Start the game at a high tempo, get an early goal then control the game and turn on the style.

Shame West Ham got that 1.0 yesterday..adds to pressure. Unless the worst happens we will be top before and after the Pompey game by goal difference, but this is getting too close for comfort now. We need someone from todays game not just because it's Pompey but, more importantly, because we must stop the rot. Middlesborough are closing in as well..good time for a run of wins. Depending on the result, this game will have come at completely the right or wrong time for us. Not even sure I can bear to watch this game..what a wimp!

We generally win if we score first, but rarely score first away from home...so there's a clue, lads. Whatever happens today, the best revenge is success. If we get promoted, todays result (if against us) will fade into obscurity (at least with us, Pompey fans have the memories of elephants).
